Grounded!!!

Camair-Co has grounded its jet fleet with neither its sole remaining B737-700 nor its B767-300(ER) active since the beginning of this month, reports ch-aviation. According to FlightRadar24 ADS-B data at hand, B737-700 TJ-QCB has been parked at Douala since November 26 while B767-300(ER) has been parked at Yaoundé Nsimalen since December 1. Camair-Co's two MA-60s, used to ply domestic routes, have also been grounded given a lingering concerns about the validity of Chinese maintenance specifications in relation to Cameroonian civil aviation regulations. As such, the airline has maintained limited operations using ATR72-200 leased from Regourd Aviation charter unit, Aero4M. Owned by the Cameroonian state, Camair-Co has struggled to remain active despite government's pledge earlier this year to recapitalize the carrier to the tune of XAF60 billion (USD101.4 million).
