Police investigate Camair-Co management over recent deals

Cameroon's police have questioned several Camair-Co executives over their involvement in various aircraft maintenance and leasing deals, ch-aviation reports. According to the police report, during the course of December, detectives interviewed the airline's CEO Ernest Dikoum along with its maintenance and air operations managers over deals involving the maintenance of the carrier's B767-300(ER)'s Pratt & Whitney PW4060 powerplants as well as the lease of an ATR72-200 from Aero4M    late last year. According to FlightRadar24 ADS-B data, S5-ACK was ferried to Dinard for maintenance on January 2. On the turboprop's arrival last month, airline trade unionists questioned why management would lease an aircraft for USD3,250 per block hour when their research had shown the median market rate to be USD1,750.
