Illustration of Vule Airways DHC 8-400 Vule Airways (Entebbe/Kampala) is a nascent Ugandan budget carrier looking to start operating in the domestic, regional, and international scheduled passenger markets later this year. According to a presentation posted last week, Vule Airways is controlled by international investors (45%) with local Ugandans including promoters holding the remaining 55%. Operationally, Vule Airways plans to launch with six aircraft serving twenty destinations across Africa, Europe, and Asia. It plans to use one Dash 8-200 to cover domestic Ugandan flights as well as thinner regional services to Rwanda, Burundi, Tanzania, Kenya, and Somalia. Rwandair Prepares to Receive its Fourth Boeing 737-800NG

RwandAir B737-800 RwandAir, the national carrier of the Republic of Rwanda, is expecting the delivery of another brand new state of the art Boeing 737-800 Next Generation (NG) aircraft equipped with in-flight connectivity. The new aircraft will land in Kigali on the 28th of May at 16hrs and will take RwandAir’s young fleet to a total of 12 aircraft. This aircraft delivery is part of the lease agreement signed in December 2015 between RwandAir and Aircraft Lease Corporation, an American based lessor to acquire two additional brand new dual class Boeing 737-800NG; the first was delivered in November last year. “This aircraft will be RwandAir’s fourth of its type. It comes to enable new connections on the continent and beyond, as the airline continues to foster economic exchange between Rwanda and the rest of the world”, said Chance Ndagano, the Chief Executive Officer of RwandAir. Camair-Co: Finally the Tenant Becomes the Owner

The official ceremony for the delivery of documents definitively acquiring these previously leased aircraft has taken place in Yaoundé. Camair-Co B737-700NG The Cameroon Airlines Corporation (Camair-Co), the national airline, becomes the owner of two Boeing 737-700 NG aircraft previously leased from Aviation Capital Group (ACG) as of Wednesday, April 19, 2017. The official ceremony of handing over the documents definitively acquiring these aircraft takes place took place at 10 am at the Hilton Hotel in Yaoundé. It is under the patronage of the Prime Minister, Head of Government, Philemon Yang, and the effective chairmanship of Transport Minister Edgard Alain Mebe Ngo'o.
