Ethiopian Airlines orders ten more A350-900s

Ethiopian Airlines (ET, Addis Ababa) has placed a firm order with Airbus (AIB, Toulouse Blagnac) for ten additional A350-900s. The order adds to the twelve that Ethiopian has on order from the Europeans of which two have thus far been delivered.

Ethiopian currently operates four of the type with three leased from AerCap and one leased from Ping An Aircraft Leasing.

"We will deploy the additional aircraft on our long haul routes connecting Addis Ababa with destinations in Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia," Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, said.
