Nigeria's OAS Helicopters partners Abu Dhabi Aviation

OAS Helicopter
OAS Helicopters, the rotary-wing unit of Nigerian firm Odengene Air Shuttle Services (OHS, Lagos), has signed a partnership agreement with UAE-based Abu Dhabi Aviation (AXU, Abu Dhabi Int'l) for the provision of helicopter services to Nigerian offshore oil and gas assets.

A press release states that as part of the deal, OAS has sourced a Eurocopter AW139, A6-AWH (msn 41011), from the Emirati firm which will be based out of Port Harcourt City Airport.

Technical and legal talks concerning the venture have been ongoing since 2015.

Odengene Air Shuttle Services was briefly embargoed by the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) earlier this year citing unspecified financial issues. However, following what it termed "an amicable" solution, OASS says it has been able to continue operations unhindered.
