South Africa's CemAir inks LOI for two Q400s

CemAir (5Z, Johannesburg O.R. Tambo) has signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) with Bombardier (BBA, Montréal Trudeau) for two Dash 8-400/Q400s. Once firmed, the two turboprops would be the South African operator's first of the type.

CemAir currently operates a fleet of fourteen CRJ-100s, three CRJ-200s, one Dash 8-100, two Dash 8-300s, and nine Beech 1900Ds. Aside from ACMI/charter work, it also offers scheduled passenger flights throughout South Africa serving Johannesburg O.R. Tambo, Bloemfontein, Hoedspruit, Margate, Plettenberg Bay, Sishen, George, Cape Town, and Port Elizabeth.
