Royal Air Maroc, Etihad ink cargo partnership MOU

RAM B737-800

Royal Air Maroc (AT, Casablanca Int'l) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Etihad Airways (EY, Abu Dhabi Int'l) for the mutual development of cargo operations.

A statement issued on May 29 said the two firms will develop commercial synergies aimed at increasing each other's respective market reach. In this context, the Moroccan operator will carry cargo from Abu Dhabi Int'l to the Americas via its Casablanca Int'l hub. Capacity on the UAE-Morocco sectors is presumably onboard Etihad Airways daily return Abu Dhabi-Casablanca service which is also complemented by a weekly dedicated A330-200(F) service.

Using belly-hold space on its RAM parent's regular commercial passenger flights, Royal Air Maroc Cargo is able to offer extensive connectivity across Western and Central Africa, South America, the United States and Canada, and continental Europe.
